Inconel 718 Round Bar is a precipitation-hardened nickel chromium based super alloy. The ASTM B637 UNS N07718 Bright Bar contains also significant amounts of elements like iron, niobium, and molybdenum along with trace amounts of metals like aluminium and titanium. Aluminium and titanium make the Inconel 718 hardenable.
AMS 5662 Inconel 718 Black Bar is well suited for applications which require high tensile strength in temperature ranges from cryogenic up to an elevated temperature of about 1400°F. Besides having excellent tensile, the ASTM B637 Bar exhibits good impact strength.
