Apart from nickel, the additions of metals like molybdenum and copper enable the Incoloy 825 Rods to resist reductive-containing agents and acids. Chromium in the ASTM B425 Gr 825 offers resistance to oxidizing conditions, such as nitric acid solutions, nitrates, and oxidizing salts. The alloy is stabilized by the addition of titanium . Stabilizing the Incoloy 825 Bar is known to resist pitting and intergranular attacks that could take place after fabrication. This also includes welding, during which, the Alloy 825 Round Bar reaches a critical sensitization temperature range between 650°C – 760°C when the alloy is heated.
